Bio
I am a southern gal born in Booneville, MS. I attended Northeast Mississippi Jr. College and
then graduated from the University of MS. I hold a BA in Elementary Education and a Masters
in Elementary Education. I also have an Educational Specialist certification from Ole Miss as
well. After college I moved to Dallas to begin my teaching career. I have taught grades 1-8
during my 36 years in education. While in Dallas I met my husband, Jack Gatti. We have two
sons who live in Dallas. It was always my husband’s dream to live on a ranch. We sold our
home in San Antonio and bought a small ranchette in Center Point. While living in Center Point,
I commuted to San Antonio for 15 years and taught in SAISD. I was a Master Teacher there and
taught 6th grade for most of my tenure. I retired from the district this past year and was blessed
to become a part of Notre Dame. There are many reasons why I like my job at Notre Dame with
the students being at the top. They are dedicated and hard working, polite, and just plain
“sweet”.
