Biography

My name is Paula Werner Sullivan. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. Married to my high school sweetheart Mark, mother of 2 sons and 1 daughter in law. I hold an AAS in Drafting Technology, emphasis on Architecture and Engineering from Del Mar College, Corpus Christi, TX and a BAAS Learning Technology from The University of North Texas.

My work career started with the USGS in CC while going to Del Mar as a geological draftsman. After getting married and moving to Houston I worked in the Oil and Gas industry as a cartographer and eventually moved into a Supervisory role. I left the workforce in 1990 to be a full-time stay at home mom to our boys Brad and Scott. We moved to Lewisville, TX (DFW area) in 1994 when Mark was offered a job in his industry. I spent many years involved as a volunteer with, BSA, youth counselor at our church, community and substitute teaching. Scott is a former elementary math teacher and Brad teaches English in S. Korea.

During Covid when everyone was working from home Mark asked his boss if he could work anywhere. The answer was yes, so we sold our house, packed up and moved to Kerrville in 2020, an area we both love. Mark has retired fully and we continue to remodel homes for resale or rent. What a nutty hobby. He’s the general contractor and I handle the interior design. Other hobbies are baking, reading, art, crafting, tennis, and pickleball.

I absolutely love teaching at NDCS. Having taught in Dallas at a Charter school, being back in the classroom teaching Art is joyful. The staff, students, and families' love and faith make each day I’m here uplifting and feeling God’s love. Thank you for entrusting me with your children.
