Biography

Hello! I’m Michelle Trevizo, and I’m truly blessed to be teaching second grade at Notre Dame School. My husband and I have two teenage children who attend KISD, and after deciding we wanted to raise our family in a small town, we made the move to Kerrville from El Paso, TX in 2013. We’re proud members of Kerrville Apostolic Church, where the Lord has led us.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on my handmade soap business, gardening, raising chickens (yes, even in my classroom!), and playing with my dogs.

This is my third year teaching second grade, and I absolutely love it! My journey into education began as a paraprofessional in KISD, where I spent many years before joining Notre Dame as a classroom teacher. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from UTEP, an EC-6 teaching certification from Texas Teachers of Tomorrow, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Schreiner University.

What I love most about my job is the opportunity to work with my students every day. Just as they come to school to learn and grow, I come to work to do the same! I’m grateful to be a part of their Christian lives and to share the goodness of the Lord with them. While I didn’t initially think second grade was the right fit for me, I know now that the Lord placed me exactly where I needed to be.
