Biography

Cecelia Stone serves as the Religion teacher for Pre-K through 8th Grade at Notre Dame
Catholic School. Now entering her fourth year in this role and bringing 24 years of total
experience in education, Cecelia is dedicated to helping students grow not only academically but
also in their faith, character, and understanding of God’s love.

With a deep commitment to Catholic education, Cecelia creates a welcoming, faith-filled
classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and inspired to live out the Gospel
each day. She incorporates hands-on activities, Scripture exploration, prayer, and meaningful
discussions to help learners of all ages connect their faith to real-life experiences.

Cecelia is passionate about building strong relationships with students and families, fostering a
sense of community, and encouraging each child to recognize their unique gifts. Her years of
experience across grade levels allow her to adapt lessons creatively and meet students where they
are on their spiritual journeys.

In January 2025, Cecelia was name Notre Dame Catholic School Educator of the Year. On May
9 th of 2025, she became the Archdiocese of San Antonio Elementary Educator of the Year.
Cecelia Stone is married to her husband Ronnie Stone for 30 years. They have 3 amazing
children: Dylan (26 years old), Kyle (26 years old) and Amber (17 years old). Mrs. Stone does
not have any grandchildren of her own but have bonus children whose children call her Omie. At
the beginning of every year she tells her students “once you enter my classroom I will treat you
and love you like my own.”
