SCHOOL SERVICE HOURS

Each Notre Dame family is strongly encouraged to volunteer their time and talents during every school year their child is enrolled. Volunteering is both an experience and a privilege for the parent, the student and the school. School service undertaken with a spirit of joy promotes and maintains a supportive relationship with the students, teachers, and staff.

The benefits of total family involvement in our Notre Dame community are real and numerous. Parents, guardians, grandparents, and other relatives working on behalf of Notre Dame Catholic School help to strengthen and increase our spiritual, scholastic, and physical environment. Children at schools that have more parent involvement perform better. In addition, service hours provided by family members help provide an economic bridge between tasks necessary to operate our school and the ever-increasing demands of our budget.

REQUIREMENTS

As required by our Archdiocese ALL Notre Dame parents, staff, faculty and volunteers are required to complete a criminal background check and the online sexual abuse prevention training program called “Protecting God’s Children” facilitated by VIRTUS. Both certifications are valid for three years and must be presented to the school office upon completion.
