Student
Council Raises Funds for Haiti Relief
3rd Grade
Service Project
Under the
leadership of Mrs. Snyder, the third grade class
selected to support the local Humane Society as their
service project for the year. The students provide
bins in each classroom on campus and asked for a variety
of donations for the animals that are in the shelter and
items for the resale store. With loaded bins, the
class took a trip to the Humane Society. In return
for their efforts, the students were given an
opportunity to spend some time with the cats and dogs.
It was a fun time for the students and the donations
were greatly appreciated by the Humane Society.
The
students' service is not over! They will continue
to support the local Humane Society so be on the look
out for their next drive.
Valentine's
Day Bingo
This "fun"
raising event was organized by the NDCS Development
Committee headed by Hunter Morris with the great support
of Annette Sudyka and Merrily White. The event was
highly successful with many winners, time spent as a whole
ND community and a profit of $940 to be used towards
development efforts. Thank you to everyone who
worked the Bingo floor especially Toni, Jimmy, and
Jency.
The
concession sales from the event will be used towards the
8th grade Graduation Dance which is hosted by the 7th
grade class. They raised $390 to give their 8th
grade friends the gift of a lovely dance to be held in
May.
Thank you
Notre Dame Parish and School Community for your
incredible support.

Family Thanksgiving Luncheon
The 2nd
Annual Family Thanksgiving Luncheon was a huge success.
Joining us for this wonderful luncheon were 285
students, parents and relatives. A huge thanks and
lots of love go to Phyllis, our Cafeteria Manager, her
husband and Nelda for all of their time and effort in
preparing the delicious food. In addition to our
school community, the ND Parish staff supported the
event by serving and assisting with setup. The 7th
grade class under the supervision of Deacon Sonny are to
be recognized for helping set up the beautifully
decorated tables with center pieces created by each
student. A special thank you to Mrs. Merrily
White, School Council President, for all of her
assistance.
We have many
blessings to be thankful for this season.
Day
of the Dead
Mr. Raoul Ferris,
Spanish teacher, teaches our students about the history
of Dia de los Muertos. MS school students hold
relatives' photos they have remembered by including them
in a Day of the Dead altar in their classroom.
